Maddi’s Butterflies will have a Tombola and a Hook a Duck stall…it’s going to be a fun packed day 🤩
Join in and celebrate one of our favourite times of the year – Silly Hat Day…
This event is mainly about having fun while raising much needed funds, but most importantly the event is about raising awareness of childhood cancer.
Maddi had cancer all her life and when she lost her hair due to the chemotherapy she would often reach for a hat to wear for protection/comfort and sometimes wear a silly hat.
So why not join in and reach for hat of any kind, then take a selfie and post it to your social media account tagging us in or text/email it to us and we’ll post it for you.
We are so excited for this event and hope you can join in with the fun!!
Every Christmas we always visit the Oncology Wards at the local hospitals and deliver Christmas presents to all the children on the ward. Alongside their presents we like to to give them a brand new pair of pyjamas as we think that every child should receive a pair pf pyjamas at Christmas.
This year we have chosen to support:-
The Children’s Oncology Wards at:-
⭐️Ward 86 Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital
⭐️Ward 3B at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital
⭐️Children visiting The Christie’s Proton Centre
⭐️And some local Children’s Hospices
To make it easier for our supporters to continue to help us, we have introduced a number of new ways to take part in our appeal. You can help us by:-
Donating to our Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/samantha-allan5. All donations made to this page will be used to purchase the pyjamas on your behalf.
Purchasing pyjamas through Amazon Smile at smile.amazon.co.uk. By doing this and setting Maddi’s Butterflies as your nominated charity, a further 0.5% of the net price of your purchase will be donated to us at no extra cost to you. Delivery can be set to either of the addresses below.
You will also still be able to drop off or post your pyjamas to:-

Yippee Silly Hat Day – Something Fun to look forward to!
Last years Silly Hat Day had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 and most of the country being in lockdown. This year, Silly Hat Day will definitely be going ahead, as we can still do this virtually, whether you are at Home, Work, Gardening, Out ‘n’ About or even in the Car and if by miracle the schools are back then maybe you can do this with you classmates and teacher…..lets keep our fingers crossed its back to normal!!
Every year 1600 children in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer, most of these children will suffer hair loss and hats will become part of their everyday attire. Show your support by wearing a Silly Hat to work, school, college or nursery today and donate £1. If you are a school, business or any other organised group that wants to take part in our Silly Hat Day then please get in touch. Why not help us take this viral and take a selfie while wearing a Silly Hat and post it on social media and tag 3 friends and donate by Texting. HATS and the amount to 70085.
